Selected fibre or processing lots for tea-bag paper, filtration media, security and specialty papers. This is an end-use specification, not a substitute for the official fibre grade.

Important: Abacá is also called Manila hemp, but it is not true hemp and it is not ordinary banana pseudostem fibre. It is extracted from the leaf sheaths of Musa textilis and is classified separately under Pakistan PCT 5305.0020.

Classification note: Pakistan’s FY 2025–26 tariff specifically lists raw Abacá under PCT 5305.0020 within heading 53.05. Final classification, duty, taxes, permits and filing requirements must be confirmed by the appointed customs agent before shipment.
