AGE Polymer Weekly Review Week Ending 22 September 2026

Global polymer markets are entering a more selective phase after the sharp September rally. Crude oil has eased from recent highs, while China PP, LLDPE and PVC futures have weakened, reducing some of the cost pressure seen earlier in the month.

However, the market is not falling uniformly. India continues to show firm domestic pricing, Saudi PE remains supported, and European LDPE and selected PE grades are still holding firm. Freight costs and Middle East logistics risks also remain important factors for importers.

For the coming week, PP, LLDPE and PVC may face greater buyer resistance, while HDPE is expected to remain broadly stable and LDPE comparatively firm.
